# Air ambulance lands amid major medical emergency in Plymouth - live updates

The Devon Air Ambulance has landed in the Eggbuckland area of Plymouth this morning (1 September).

The helicopter landed at Collings Park in [Compton](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/compton/) following what Plymouth Plus understands to be a critical medical emergency nearby.

Specialist flying medics from the North Devon based helicopter are now at the scene providing emergency medical care.
