Armed police have swarmed Citadel Road in Plymouth tonight in a ongoing incident.
One man has been detained at the scene and officers remain in the area. At least two armed police vehicles have been in the area since 9pm.
The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed by Devon and Cornwall Police, armed officers arrived swiftly and engaged with a man who was subsequently detained.
