Biker in his 30s fighting for life after crash in Plymouth

A motorcyclist is in a critical condition after a late night crash in Plymouth that left him with life threatening injuries.

Emergency services were called at approximately 9.11pm on Sunday 17 August 2025 after a yellow and black Honda motorcycle collided with two parked vehicles on Uxbridge Drive in the Ernesettle area of Plymouth.

The rider, a man in his his 30s, was treated at the scene by ambulance crews and critical care paramedics from Devon Air Ambulance before being rushed to hospital. Police say his injuries are life threatening.

Devon and Cornwall Police closed the road while specialist collision investigators carried out enquiries and examined the scene. The closures remained in place while officers worked to establish how the crash happened and to gather evidence.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam or doorbell footage from the area around the time of the incident is urged to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 quoting incident reference 902 of 17/08/2025.

A spokesperon for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"At approximately 2111hrs on Sunday the 17th August 2025, Emergency services were called to a report of a road traffic collision on Uxbridge Drive, Plymouth – where a yellow and black coloured Honda motorcycle had collided with two parked vehicles.
"The rider of the motorcycle was conveyed to hospital by Ambulance.
"His injuries and condition are deemed to be life threatening at this time.
"Road closures remained in place whilst collision investigation work took place.
"If anyone has witnessed the incident, please contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101, quoting Police incident reference 902 of 17/08/2025."
