A fire broke out on board a motor vessel near Mayflower Marina this afternoon, prompting a large response from emergency services in Plymouth.
Plymouth Coastguard Rescue Team was quickly sent to the scene alongside the RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat.
Fire crews from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service attended, along with officers from Devon and Cornwall Police.

The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed. The vessel involved has not been named, but it is understood to be a private motorboat moored near the marina.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard told Plymouth Plus:
"A fire on board a motor vessel near Mayflower Marina at about 1.40pm on 25 May was safely extinguished with no injuries reported.
"Plymouth Coastguard Rescue Team was sent as well as the RNLI's all-weather lifeboat from Plymouth.
"Devon and Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service and Devon and Cornwall Police attended."
