A busy Plymouth road is closed in both directions this evening after a crash. Police are at the scene with Plymouth City Council highways teams and traffic is being turned around while the incident is dealt with.
The collision happened on Pomphlett Road, which is now shut in both directions. Drivers are being advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes. Delays are already building on surrounding roads and bus services may also be affected.
Details of any injuries have not yet been confirmed. Emergency services remain in attendance and recovery is expected to take place once the road is made safe.
