Celebrities flocked to Plymouth for a New Year’s Eve coastal getaway, Plymouth Plus can reveal.
A group of 18 creatives travelled to Plymouth to celebrate the New Year at St Anne's House, which rose to fame after featuring on The Hotel Inspector.
Among those staying were Max and Harvey, who have over 8 million followers across social media and came second on The X Factor Celebrity.
They joined a wider group of artists, performers and digital creatives who came together for a unique New Year's Eve celebration in Plymouth.
Plymouth Plus spoke to Georgia Fowkes, founder of Elation Creative, who organised the exclusive event.
“We just needed a big house somewhere and we looked on the map and we were like, what’s going on in Plymouth,” she said.
The group, many of whom live and work in London, decided to take a chance on somewhere new, swapping city crowds for a coastal setting.
She said Plymouth quickly exceeded expectations.
“I honestly had no expectations going in here and it completely blew me out of the water,” she said. “Plymouth is honestly a hidden gem.”
Guests made full use of the hotel’s setting and amenities, with coastal views and a hot tub.

One of the most talked about features of their stay was the alpacas, Del Boy, Rodney and Denzil, which proved an instant hit with them all.
“The fact that there are alpacas outside, every single one of us spent all morning playing with them, taking pictures, attempting to feed them,” Georgia said.
After ringing in the New Year at the hotel, the group explored Plymouth, visiting the coastline, city centre and local cafes, where they said they were struck by how welcoming people were.
“Everybody is so nice,” Georgia said. “We ended up chatting with locals and just hanging out. It’s been a great day.”
She added that the experience showed why judging a place based on online opinion alone can be misleading.
“You can’t really gauge a place until you get there,” she said. “We took a chance on Plymouth and had a great time.”
The visit highlights Plymouth’s growing appeal as a destination for short breaks and special occasions, with St Annes House offering a setting that combines space, scenery and privacy.
For the group, the Plymouth stay marked a brief pause before a busy start to the new year, but Georgia said the city had left a lasting impression.
“It’s honestly an amazing place,” she said.
