# Child brought to safety after Plymouth Hoe incident

A child has been brought to safety following a concern for welfare incident on Plymouth Hoe.

Police, paramedics, [HM Coastguard](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/hm-coastguard/) and the [RNLI](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/rnli/) were all called to the scene this afternoon (20 May).

The child was in a precarious position on the cliff edge near the Hoe Cannons while negotiations took place. 

Thankfully, the child has now been brought to safety and is in the care of healthcare professionals.
