'Dead dogs' found dumped in bin bag in Plymouth bush sparks investigation

A man has told Plymouth Plus that he feared he’d discovered 'multiple dead dogs' dumped in a bin bag in bushes in the Deer Park area of Plymouth.

His shocking discovery triggered a police and RSPCA response. The grim find was made in bushes near Oregon Way on Wednesday afternoon.

A member of the public, said he was left shaken after spotting what looked like animal fur and limbs poking from the torn bin bag hidden in the bushes.

The moment a police officer comes across the shocking discovery:

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed they were called to the area at around 2.50pm on 26 June.

An officer was sent to the scene and contacted the RSPCA to recover the remains. Early enquiries suggest the remains may have come from a fox, but further analysis is required.

The local man who found the bag said he feared the remains belonged to more than one dog. The bag was found in bushes near a footpath regularly used by dog walkers and families.
