# Drugs arrest after man crashes into police car in dramatic Plymouth pursuit

A police pursuit ended at a busy retail park in Plymouth this afternoon after a man failed to stop for officers.

The dramatic chase came to an end after the vehicle crashed into a police car in the car park of Friary Retail Park on [Exeter Street](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/exeter-street/).

Officers arrested the man, aged in his 50s, on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified, being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and possession of a Class A drug.

He remains in police custody at this time. A spokesperson for [Devon and Cornwall Police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-cornwall-police/) said:

> *"A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified, being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and possession of a Class A drug.*

> *"The arrest follows a failure to stop and subsequent collision with a police car at a retail park off Exeter Street, Plymouth, on the afternoon of Tuesday 2 December.*

> *"The suspect remains in police custody at this time."*
