A man was safely brought down from the top of a Plymouth multi-storey car park in the early hours of Tuesday morning, 27 May.
Emergency services were first called shortly after 12.15am to a city centre location, where the man was found in a precarious position on the upper level of the car park.

Specialist crisis negotiators engaged in sustained conversation with the individual for nearly two hours. At approximately 2.05am, the man was brought to safety and is now receiving appropriate support.
The situation was handled with care, professionalism and compassion by all those involved. Officers remained calm throughout the negotiation, focusing on building trust and keeping the individual safe.

Emergency teams worked together seamlessly to bring the incident to a safe conclusion. Due to the sensitive nature of the incident, no further details will be released.
