Police and paramedics responded to an incident on Alma Road in Plymouth this morning following reports of a disturbance at a nearby property.
Police were called shortly before 11am on Tuesday, 10 February, after receiving a report of a woman causing a disturbance at a property.
Officers attended the scene and arrested a woman on suspicion of common assault.
Following the arrest, the woman became unwell, and paramedics were requested to attend.
The South Western Ambulance Service sent one double-crewed land ambulance to the scene and conveyed the woman to Derriford Hospital.
Three police cars and an ambulance were seen in the area, with one lane heading into town partially blocked while emergency services responded.
