A nine-year-old girl described by her family as a 'beautiful soul' tragically died this week after a stabbing at a home in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Aria Thorpe was found seriously injured at a property in Lime Close in the Mead Vale area, with emergency services rushing to the scene on Monday evening.
A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested a short time later and has since been charged with murder.
A JustGiving fundraiser set up to support Aria’s family has now raised more than £30,000, with more than 1,500 people donating in the days since her death.
