# Fire crews tackle ‘smouldering’ fire involving two Plymouth properties

Firefighters are responding to a "smouldering fire between two properties" in Plymouth this afternoon.

Two fire appliances and an aerial ladder platform are at the scene on Hermitage Road in the [Mutley](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/mutley/) area of Plymouth.

Crews are using small tools, a fog spike and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
