Fourth person charged with murder of Plymouth Dad Danny Cahalane after acid attack

A woman has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Plymouth after an acid attack in Lipson earlier this year.

Danny Cahalane, 38, from Plymouth, was taken to hospital after emergency services were called to a property in Lipson Road at around 3.55am on Friday 21 February.

Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, Mr Cahalane sadly died in Bristol hospital on Saturday 3 May.

Jude Hill, 43, of Wantage Gardens in Plymouth, has been charged with murder and participating in the criminal activities of an organised crime group.

Plymouth Plus understands that she was arrested upon her return to the UK from Thailand and taken into custody before being transported to Plymouth.

She has been remanded in custody to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court this afternoon, Friday 27 June.

Jude Hill is the fourth person to be charged with the murder of Danny Cahalane following the acid attack in Lipson. Here’s where the other defendants currently stand:

  • Paris Wilson, 34, Mr Cahalane’s ex-partner and mother to his child, has pleaded not guilty to murder and remains in custody ahead of trial.
  • Israel Augustus, 25, of Tottenham, London, denies murder and is also charged with drug offences and possession of a “zombie knife.”
  • Isanah Sungum, 21, of Edmonton, London, has pleaded not guilty to murder and participating in organised crime.
  • Jenna Said, 39, of Plymouth, denies involvement in organised criminal activity and is currently on conditional bail.
  • Jean Mukuna, 23, of Camden, London, has denied conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.
  • Arrone Mukuna, 24, also of Camden, has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.
  • Abdulrasheed Adedoja, 22, of Neasden, London, faces multiple conspiracy charges but has not yet entered any pleas.
  • Ramarnee Bakas-Sithole, 22, of Islington, London, has not entered any pleas and remains remanded in custody.
  • Brian Kalemba, 22, of Barking, London, also remains in custody and has not yet entered pleas on the charges he faces.

All defendants, except for Said, are currently remanded in custody. The case is scheduled to proceed to trial at Winchester Crown Court in January 2026.
