A grieving Plymouth family is asking the Green Army to rise to their feet in the 19th minute tonight, Tuesday 12 August 2025, and clap for one minute to honour the life of devoted Plymouth Argyle fan Josh Hayman, aged 19.
Josh, known to friends as 'Jayman', was a familiar face at the Devonport End, a teenager whose weekends revolved around Plymouth Argyle, his mates and his family. His death late on Saturday has left a silence that friends say can only be answered by the sound of Home Park united in applause.
Josh tragically lost his life late on Saturday after being struck by a train in Plymouth, leaving his family, friends and the Green Army heartbroken.

Supporters are encouraged to join in the tribute during the 19th minute of tonight’s EFL Cup tie against QPR. A memorial has grown beneath a tree in Central Park, a short walk from the stadium Josh loved.
Flowers, photos, candles and a Plymouth Argyle shirt sit alongside a banner that reads “Argyle Are Massive”. Friends describe a kind, funny and fiercely loyal lad who would drop everything to help the people he cared about.

Tonight the scoreline will not be what matters most at Home Park. It will be the moment when thousands stand together, united in green, to applaud for Josh Hayman. A minute’s tribute that will echo far beyond the 90.
