Police requested the assistance of HM Coastguard after a teenage boy went missing in the Cawsand area this afternoon (25 September).
HM Coastguard said it was called at around 2.10pm and sent two lifeboats and three rescue teams to Cawsand.
Plymouth RNLI’s inshore lifeboat and all-weather lifeboat searched for the teenage boy, who was believed to be missing near the coast.
Coastguard Rescue Teams from Plymouth, Tamar and Looe joined the search which lasted for just over two hours.
Thankfully, the boy was safely located just before 5pm.
