# In pictures: Hundreds attend flag march and anti-fascist counter protest in Plymouth

Approximately 350 people attended a flag march and anti-fascist counter protest in Plymouth this afternoon. 

The day began with the two rival groups gathering next to each other outside the Guildhall in [Plymouth City Centre](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/plymouth-city-centre/).

It is believed that one man was arrested on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon.

[Devon and Cornwall Police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-cornwall-police/) brought in around 50 officers from across the county to help facilitate the peaceful protest.

The Flag Force Plymouth march made its way through parts of town, the [Barbican](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/barbican/) and the [Plymouth Hoe](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/plymouth-hoe/).
