Live updates as councillors debate asylum hotels, flags, pay, potholes and trees

We are live at the Plymouth City Council full council meeting at the Council House this afternoon. Out of 57 councillors, 45 have taken their seats, giving a 79 per cent attendance rate.

Expect tense debates on asylum hotels, the rules on the flying of flags, opposition allowances, a push for common sense pothole repairs and a bid to protect more trees after the Armada Way scandal.
