Plymouth is in the TV spotlight tonight as the stunning St Anne’s House in Plymstock makes its glittering debut on The Hotel Inspector at 8pm on Channel 5.
The luxury property is run by Neal Stoneman alongside his partner Tracey and is already a favourite for holidaymakers and those looking for an unforgettable celebration setting. Now millions of viewers will see its beauty and charm for themselves.

Speaking exclusively to Plymouth Plus, Neal said inviting Alex Polizzi was all about sharing their passion for the house and what it offers. He added:
“We had already received 300 five star reviews so we were not too concerned about what she was going to say.
“She did make a few suggestions and asked me to part with some of my toys including my vintage cars but she was brilliant.”
Neal said Polizzi’s straight talking style was exactly what the couple wanted. He said:
“She made us feel really relaxed. If I needed telling off she told me off but she also gave us some great advice.”
During filming, Neal learned just how much national TV exposure can boost a business. He explained:
“She told me to get the office ready because we would be inundated when the programme goes out. And she is probably right.”
Neal was first in contact with the programme during a difficult spell with planning permission and says a producer got in touch just as restrictions had been lifted and the business could finally grow. He said:
“It was perfect because we could finally bring our vision for weddings and events to life.”

The luxury seven bedroom 19th century property features a heated swimming pool, a hot tub and a private bar.
The new series of The Hotel Inspector began on 17 July and continues every Thursday at 8pm on Channel 5.
Channel 5 says Alex is in Plymouth to help save a wannabe wedding venue 'with big ambitions' and 'even bigger problems' as she takes on St Anne’s House in Episode 5. You can watch on Channel 5 at 8pm or stream later on My5.
