# Major 999 response after man hit by train in Plymouth

A major emergency response is ongoing after a man was hit by a train this evening (13 September).

Emergency services are currently responding to the incident on the railway line in the [St Budeaux](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/st-budeaux/) area of Plymouth.

Wolseley Road has been closed as a result and there is heavy traffic in the area due to the sheer number of emergency services at the scene.

Police, paramedics, [Devon Air Ambulance](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-air-ambulance/) and firefighters are all at the scene.
