Emergency services rushed to the scene of a major road traffic collision in Plymouth this afternoon.
Police have confirmed that one person has suffered serious injuries following a single vehicle collision on Southway Lane, shortly before 2.30pm on Wednesday 23 July.
Road closures are now in place and are expected to remain for some time as police launch a serious collision investigation. Members of the public are being advised to avoid the area and plan alternative routes.
Investigators are examining the scene and are expected to remain there throughout the evening. South Western Ambulance Service and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were also called to the scene.
