A major Plymouth road has been shut following a serious motorcycle crash during Wednesday evening rush hour.
The A374 Exeter Street Eastbound is currently closed between Charles Cross Roundabout and Cattedown Roundabout following a collision involving a motorbike.
Emergency services are at the scene and traffic is building in the area, with delays expected across the city centre and towards the Embankment.
What we know so far:
- The crash was first reported around 18:03.
- Exeter Street Eastbound is closed from Charles Cross Roundabout to Cattedown Roundabout.
- Slow traffic is affecting all surrounding routes including Sutton Road, Tothill Road and Gdynia Way.
- Police and ambulance crews are believed to be on scene.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes if possible.
