A major emergency operation is underway on Plymouth Hoe this evening as search teams respond to reports of a missing man.
Devon and Cornwall Police are stationed across the waterfront, working alongside HM Coastguard teams. The MOD police boat and RNLI lifeboat have also been launched into the Sound as part of the ongoing operation
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard told Plymouth Plus:
"HM Coastguard is currently responding to an incident at Plymouth Hoe. Plymouth Coastguard Rescue Team has been sent, alongside RNLI Plymouth lifeboat. The incident is ongoing. "
