A major fire is ongoing on Bickham Road in the St Budeaux area of Plymouth this afternoon, close to the MOD Defence Munitions Centre at Ernesettle.
Six fire engines and an aerial ladder platform are in attendance at a detached domestic property, with crews using breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a safety jet to bring the blaze under control.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed to Plymouth Plus this that all persons have thankfully been accounted for.
Thick smoke has been seen as from as far as Saltash and drivers should expect disruption around Bickham Road.
