# Man arrested after crashing into two cars during A38 police chase in Plymouth

A man has been arrested following a dramatic police pursuit on the A38 in Plymouth last night. 

The pursuit ended in a crash on the Forder Valley roundabout involving two other vehicles.

Officers were on patrol at around 8.30pm last night, Sunday, 1 March, when they became aware of a suspicious vehicle.

The vehicle then sped away from officers and drove through red lights before being involved in a collision with two other vehicles near Marsh Mills.

Thankfully, nobody was injured in the collision. 

A man in his 30s from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of failure to stop.

He remains in police custody at this time. A [significant number of police vehicles](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/serious-four-vehicle-crash-blocks-plymouth-roundabout/) were seen at the scene last night, with the roundabout partially blocked.

The road reopened to traffic at around 2am after the scene of the crash was cleared.
