A man has been arrested after graffiti was written on a banner while the Knife Angel visits Plymouth city centre.
The person who reported the incident alleged that the man on a push bike had written words on a banner near the Knife Angel monument.
In a video of the incident seen by Plymouth Plus, a man is challenged over the damage and appears to say, "young girls should have knives for protection."

Plymouth Plus understands that members of the public stepped in to clean the writing after the damage was discovered.
A man in his 40s from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
As the man has not been charged, UK media law restricts how suspects can be identified. Plymouth Plus has therefore blurred his face in our coverage.
