Man arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crashing into car house and wall

A driver fled the scene after a dramatic late night crash that left a car damaged after colliding with another vehicle, a house and a wall.

Police were called at around 11.35pm on Monday, 5 January to reports of a single car collision on St James Place East in the Plymouth City Centre.

The car crashed into another car, a house and a wall before the driver fled the scene.

Officers from the roads policing team responded and searched the area for the driver, who was located at a nearby address.

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that a man in his 30s from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He remains in police custody.
