Man dies after major emergency response at Plymouth Starbucks

A man sadly died at the Starbucks branch on Mutley Plain in Plymouth yesterday afternoon.

Police were called by the ambulance service at 4.10pm on Tuesday, 17 March, following concern for the welfare of a man at the coffee shop.

​A major emergency response was sent to the scene after the man aged in his 50s had become unwell inside Starbucks.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services and members of the public the man was pronounced deceased.

The South Western Ambulance Service sent at least two ambulances, and an operational officer attended the scene.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will now be prepared for the coroner.
