Man dies following ‘concern for welfare’ incident on outskirts of Plymouth

A man has sadly died following a ‘concern for welfare’ incident within a property on the outskirts of Plymouth.

Police say that they were called at around 8.15pm on Monday, 5 January, following a concern for welfare for a man.

Paramedics from the South Western Ambulance Service were sent to the scene at a property on Torr Bridge Park in Yealmpton.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the man, aged in his 50s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for His Majesty’s Coroner.

The next of kin of the man have been informed. A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:

"We were called at around 8.15pm on Monday 5 January following a concern for welfare for a man within a property at Torr Bridge Park, Yealmpton.
"The ambulance service also attended.
"Sadly, a man in his 50s was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious.
"A file will be prepared for HM Coroner."
