# Man dies following serious emergency response in Saltash

A man has sadly died following a serious emergency response in Saltash this afternoon, 30 September. 

The [Devon Air Ambulance](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-air-ambulance/) was sent to [the scene](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/air-ambulance-lands-as-serious-emergency-unfolds-in-saltash/) alongside one double-crewed land ambulance, an air ambulance, an operations officer, two first responders and a rapid response vehicle.

Despite best efforts, the man was pronounced deceased inside the [Saltash ](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/saltash/)property. His death has been reported to [Devon and Cornwall Police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-cornwall-police/) although is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for [Devon and Cornwall Police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-cornwall-police/) told Plymouth Plus: 

> "We were notified at 1.50pm today, 30 September, following the death of a man in his 70s at an address in Taylor Road, Saltash.

> "Ambulance attended.

> "The death is not being treated as suspicious."

A spokesperson for the [South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT)](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/south-western-ambulance-service/) said: 

> “We were called at 12:03hrs on Tuesday 30 September to a medical incident in Saltash. 

> "We sent one double-crewed land ambulance, an air ambulance an operations officer, two first responders and a rapid response vehicle to the scene.”
