Man in his 20s dies after motorbike crash in Plymouth

A motorcyclist in his 20s has tragically died following a collision involving a red Mercedes car and a red Honda motorcycle on Kings Road in Plymouth.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:50am on Tuesday, 20 May, prompting a major emergency response from Devon and Cornwall Police and other emergency services, including the Devon Air Ambulance, which landed at nearby Brickfields.

Despite swift intervention, police have now confirmed the motorcyclist, a local man, died at the scene. His family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.

Kings Road remained closed for several hours to allow forensic collision investigators to examine the scene thoroughly.

Devon and Cornwall Police have thanked the local community for their patience during the road closure.

An appeal for information has been issued, urging any witnesses or those with dash-cam or video footage from the time of the crash to come forward.
