A man in his 40s has suffered life-changing injuries after a blue Yamaha motorcycle crashed on North Prospect Road in Plymouth on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to North Prospect at around 3.45pm to the single vehicle collision. The rider was taken to Derriford Hospital by ambulance.
The road was closed while collision investigators carried out enquiries and reopened at around 5.20pm.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said:
"We are investigating a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Plymouth on Saturday 4 October and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
"Emergency services were called at around 3.45pm to a report of a collision involving a blue Yamaha motorcycle on North Prospect Road, Plymouth.
"The rider, a man in his 40s, sustained life changing injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
"The road remained closed while collision investigation enquiries took place. It was reopened at around 5.20pm.
