# Man named and charged after dramatic police chase across Plymouth

A man has been named and charged after a dramatic police chase across Plymouth.

Jake Nuttall, aged 32, of no fixed abode, Plymouth, has been charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to stop after a road accident and driving without insurance.

He has also been charged with failing to stop a vehicle when directed by police and breaching bail conditions.

It comes after a [blue Suzuki Swift failed to stop for officers](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/man-arrested-after-police-helicopter-chase-tears-through-plymouth/) in the [Plymouth City Centre](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/plymouth-city-centre/) area on Sunday (25 May).

The pursuit involved roads policing officers, armed response officers, a dog unit, and the police helicopter as the vehicle was pursued across the city.

The chase eventually came to an end on Looseleigh Lane, where the vehicle was brought to a safe stop.

A male suspect fled from the car before being found in a nearby garden and arrested at the scene.

Nuttall has been remanded into custody after appearing before [Plymouth Magistrates’ Court](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/courts/) on 27 May. 

He will next appear at [Plymouth Crown Court](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/courts/) on 25 June.
