Officers arrested Osman Bakarr Bangura, 34, of Northampton Close, near the scene. He was taken into custody and has since been charged with assault and breach of a domestic violence protection order.
Bangura has been remanded in custody to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Thursday 17 July.

What is a Domestic Violence Protection Order?
A Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO) is temporary emergency civil order issued by a magistrates’ court. It offers immediate protection to victims experiencing domestic abuse, even where there is insufficient evidence to charge a suspect.
A DVPO can prohibit a person from contacting the victim or entering their home for up to 28 days, providing time for the victim to access support and consider further legal options.
