Man recalled to prison after being talked down from top of Plymouth car park

A man has been recalled to prison after being talked down from the top of a car park in Plymouth.

The alarm was raised when the man was seen in a precarious position on the roof of a multi-storey car park in the Plymouth City Centre.

Emergency services, including a police negotiator, were called to the scene at 4pm on Saturday, 10 January.

Western Approach was closed in both directions while emergency services engaged with the man.

After nearly 6 hours, the man aged in his 30s was brought to safety at around 9.45pm. He was detained on recall to prison.
