A motorcyclist has suffered potentially serious injuries after a crash involving a pickup truck on Mannamead Road in Plymouth this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the busy route at 12.40pm today (Thursday, October 23) following reports of a collision near the Golden Hind pub.
Police say the male motorcyclist has sustained a potentially serious leg injury and other injuries. Paramedics remain at the scene, and the road has been closed while emergency services respond.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area, with traffic building around the Manadon Interchange and nearby routes.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:
"Police were called at 12.40pm today, 23 October following a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle on Mannamead Road in Plymouth.
"The male motorcyclist has sustained a potentially serious leg injury and other injuries.
"Paramedics are on scene.
"The road is closed by the Golden Hind pub.
"All ongoing at scene."
