# Person dies after incident on major Plymouth road

A person sadly died on a major road in Plymouth last night, 28 November.

Police and paramedics were called to Laira Bridge Road in [Prince Rock](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/prince-rock/) following reports of a 'medical incident'.

The [Devon Air Ambulance](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-air-ambulance/) was also deployed, but despite the best efforts of emergency services, the person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police established a cordon at the scene while they carried out an investigation into the death. It is not yet known whether the death is being treated as suspicious.

[Devon and Cornwall Police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-cornwall-police/) have been contacted for comment. At this stage, the age and gender of the person has not been confirmed.
