Person saved from wrong side of bridge in Plymouth

A person was saved from the wrong side of a bridge in Plymouth last night, 28 November.

Emergency services were called following a report of concern for the welfare of a person on an overbridge in the Crownhill area of the city.

Significant emergency service resources were sent to the scene, with police, paramedics and firefighters all in attendance.

Tavistock Road was closed in both directions for several hours as a result.

Thanks to the work of the emergency services, the person was brought to safety at around 10.45pm.
