# Person saved from wrong side of bridge in Plymouth

A person was saved from the wrong side of a bridge in Plymouth last night, 28 November. 

Emergency services were called following a report of concern for the welfare of a person on an overbridge in the [Crownhill](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/crownhill/) area of the city.

Significant emergency service resources were sent to the scene, with [police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-cornwall-police/), [paramedics](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/south-western-ambulance-service/) and [firefighters](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-somerset-fire-and-rescue-service/) all in attendance.

Tavistock Road was closed in both directions for several hours as a result. 

Thanks to the work of the emergency services, the person was brought to safety at around 10.45pm.
