A major emergency response was launched in the Devonport area of the city after a person was seriously injured in a crash between a car and a motorbike on Tuesday morning.
The Devon Air Ambulance landed at Brickfields, near the scene of the incident. Kings Road was closed in both directions while emergency services responded.
