Council workers have been witnessed frequently violating the very parking restrictions the council enforce across Plymouth.
Down on Barbican today, an officer of the council was seen parking up in a loading only bay and going food shopping.
It comes less than 24 hours after Plymouth Plus revealed the council has been bringing in Civil Enforcement Officers on overtime near midnight.
Plymouth City Council confirmed that one of their officers parked in the loading only bay to ‘pick up some warm food’.
The manager of Britain’s oldest bakery, Carly Laughton, frequently observes council employees parking in loading only bays outside her family run business.

The bays outside her shop used to be parking bays, until the council decided to prohibit members of the public from parking in them and turned them into loading only bays.
Carly says this has had a negative impact on her family run business, as locals are no longer able to park up outside to quickly grab a tasty treat.
Back in June, litter enforcement officers were also filmed contravening parking restrictions.
The council says it ‘will be reminding the driver of the need to comply with parking and highway restrictions at all times’.

A spokesperson for Plymouth City Council told Plymouth Plus:
“This vehicle was not being used by a civil enforcement officer.
"A member of our natural environment team parked briefly to pick up some warm food to take to a group of National Marine Park and Community Forest volunteers who were out planting trees and carrying out a litter pick at Jennycliff.
"However, we will be reminding the driver of the need to comply with parking and highway restrictions at all times.”
