A man has been charged after an alleged attempted heist at a Plymouth bank ended in failure and sparked a police investigation.
Lee Borda, 44, of no fixed abode, has been charged with burglary and attempted burglary following two early morning incidents on Thursday, 11 September 2025.
The attempted burglary charge relates to an incident which took place at the Nationwide branch on Armada Way, where no entry was gained but the glass front of the bank was significantly damaged.

Detectives and forensics officers were seen at the Nationwide branch late on Thursday morning, carrying out investigations at the scene.
The second charge of burglary, relates to an incident at a commercial premises on Mutley Plain. A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:
"Lee Borda, 44, of no fixed abode, Plymouth, has been charged with burglary and attempted burglary.
"He is due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 12 September.
"The charges relate to two alleged incidents at commercial premises at Mutley Plain and Armada Way respectively, on the morning of Thursday 11 September."
