A man has sadly died after a collision in Plymouth over the weekend. Emergency services were called at around 6.15pm on Saturday 13 September 2025 to Powisland Drive.
The collision occurred at the junction with Dunraven Drive, after a car struck an unattended parked vehicle and came to a stop in a garden.
The driver, an 82-year-old man from Plymouth, was taken to Derriford Hospital in a serious condition. He sadly died in hospital on Monday 15 September 2025.

As we reported on the night, Powisland Drive was closed in both directions while officers and paramedics worked at the scene, with multiple police units, armed response vehicles, and several ambulances in attendance.
Traffic was brought to a standstill and the road reopened at around 8pm. At the time, Plymouth Plus understood a red Ford Puma was involved and that the driver had suffered a medical episode.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police today confirmed:
"A man has died following a road traffic collision in Plymouth on Saturday 13 September.
"Police and ambulance were called around 6.15pm following the collision on Powisland Drive at the junction with Dunraven Drive.
"A car was in collision with an unattended parked car before coming to rest in a garden.
"The driver, an 82-year-old man, from Plymouth, was taken to Derriford Hospital in a serious condition having suffered a medical episode while driving.
"Sadly, he died in hospital on Monday 15 September.
"Officers closed the road during the incident and would like to thank members of the public for their patience."

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said:
“We were called at 17:59hrs on Saturday 13 September to a road traffic collision in Plymouth.
"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, and an operations officer to the scene.
"We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Derriford Hospital.”
