A person has been taken to hospital after a serious collision involving an e-scooter on Percy Street in Plymouth this evening, Monday August 11.

Police and paramedics attended and the street has been closed in both directions while emergency crews work at the scene.

The full extent of the person’s injuries remains unknown as they have only just been taken to hospital by land ambulance.

Despite inaccurate reporting elsewhere, Victoria Road is not closed. For the avoidance of doubt, Victoria Road is open. Our reporters actually fact check before publishing.

A blue Ford Fiesta has been involved in the collision. Devon and Cornwall Police will be carrying out a serious collision investigation at the scene and the road will likely remain closed for some time.
