Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses after burglars smashed their way into a Plymouth hair salon and stole valuable equipment.

Crooks targeted Select Hair on Pemros Road in St Budeaux in the early hours of Thursday 5 March, smashing the glass front door panel to gain entry.

A number of high value items were taken from inside the salon, including three Faszin hairdryers, a BaByliss Pro hair straightener and six Olivia Garden hairbrushes.

The renewed appeal comes after Plymouth Plus previously reported how the salon owner was left devastated by the break-in.

Devon and Cornwall Police are now urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area between 1am and 5am on Thursday 5 March to come forward.

The incident happened days before another break-in at a Plymouth Tesco Express store.
