# Emergency services respond to ‘concern for welfare’ incident on Plymouth Hoe

Emergency services responded to a ‘concern for welfare’ incident on Thursday evening, 18 December.

Police, paramedics and [HM Coastguard](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/hm-coastguard/) were called after concerns for the welfare of a man on [Plymouth Hoe](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/plymouth-hoe/).

Thankfully, the man was brought to safety and left in the care of the South Western Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson for [Devon and Cornwall Police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/south-western-ambulance-service/) said:

> *"We were called at 8.45pm on Thursday 19 December to assist Coastguard colleagues with an incident at Hoe Road, Plymouth.*

> *"The ambulance service was also in attendance.*"
