# Police helicopter assists in urgent search for missing Plymouth man

Urgent searches were underway in Plymouth after police grew increasingly concerned for the welfare of missing man Andrew Delvard.

The 59-year-old had been reported missing from Plymouth and was last seen at around 7am on Monday, 27 April.

It is understood that the police helicopter was deployed over the [Plymstock](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/plymstock/) area as part of the search operation.

Andrew has now been located, police have confirmed. A [Devon and Cornwall Police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-cornwall-police/) spokesperson said: 

> "Andrew Delvard, 59, who had been reported missing from Plymouth, has been located.

> "Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."
