# Police hunt two men after early morning attacks in Plymouth City Centre

Police are hunting two men after two people were assaulted in Plymouth City Centre during the early hours of a Sunday morning.

A man was assaulted and needed hospital treatment during the first attack, which happened at around 4am on Sunday, 23 November, on New George Street. 

Just minutes later, a second man was assaulted at around 4.10am on Western Approach. Police said he suffered significant head and facial injuries.

[Devon and Cornwall Police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-cornwall-police/) believe the two men pictured may be able to help with enquiries into both incidents.

Police said officers have tried to identify the men through other lines of enquiry but are now asking the public for help.

Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the assaults or recognises the two men. You can contact the police via their website or by calling 101, quoting reference 50250301456.

A spokesperson for [Devon and Cornwall Police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-cornwall-police/) said: 

> "We are appealing for the public’s assistance identifying these men in relation to two assaults in Plymouth.

> "At around 4am on Sunday 23 November a man was assaulted on New George Street, leaving him in need of hospital treatment.

> "Shortly after this, at around 4.10am, a second man was assaulted on Western Approach. He suffered significant head and facial injuries.

> "It is believed that the two men pictured may be able to help investigating officers in their enquiries.

> "Efforts have been made to identify the men by other means, but we are now appealing for the public's help.

> "We would also like to hear from anybody else who may have witnessed either incident, or who has relevant footage.

> "Anyone able to assist is asked to get in touch via our website or by calling 101 quoting reference 50250301456."

**UPDATE: Police have now confirmed that the two men they wanted to speak to in connection with the assaults have been identified.**
