A child has been taken to hospital this evening after falling off their bike on Madeira Road, prompting a police response near Plymouth Hoe.
The incident happened shortly after 9pm and involved at least two police vehicles attending the scene. The child suffered a leg injury and was taken to hospital before an ambulance arrived.
Police remained in the area for a short time as the situation unfolded. The nature of the child’s injuries have not been confirmed but they are not believed to be life-threatening.
