# Woman dies after major emergency response on Mutley Plain in Plymouth

A major emergency response was launched in Plymouth this morning after a concern for welfare incident.

Police and paramedics were called to Mutley Plain Lane at 7.30am following concerns for the welfare of a woman.

[Devon and Cornwall Police](https://www.plymouthplus.co.uk/tag/devon-and-cornwall-police/) have now confirmed that the woman was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

Her death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
